When Love Strikes

Chapter 8

"Okay thank you doctor." Larry said. Hanging up the phone he sighed "How is she?" Ahkmenrah asked.
"She's in critical condition, Violet lost a lot of blood and is still unconscious." Larry started to cry. "It's okay Lawrence, Violet's tough she'll get through this." Teddy comforted Larry "Thanks Ted."

"Ahkmenrah can I talk to you?" Ash said

"Sure thing." Ahkmenrah smiled and grabbed her hand. They walked to his tomb "What is it?" he asked.

"Ahk I'm going to be away for about three days so Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. If Violet wakes up I don't want you talking to her if I'm not there got it?" Ashley said. "Yeah  I got it" Ahkmenrah was upset.
"Good" Ashley smiled then kissed him and walked out. Ahkmenrah sighed and went back to his coffin.

A week had passed, "Dr. McPhee I'm not coming to work tonight, I'm going to visit my daughter at the hospital."

"Alright Mr. Daley." with a nod Dr. McPhee dismissed Larry.

Later that night they got Ahkmenrah from the museum and brought him to the hospital. "Where is the ICU?" Larry asked. "Follow me." the nurse said with a smile. Violet was hooked up to so many tubes and machines, Larry went straight to her side grabbed her hand and started to cry. " I have to go, I- I can't see her like this." Larry said, Rebecca went up it him and comforted him "Come on lets go outside."

"I'm going to stay a little longer." Ahkmenrah said " Alright Ahk" Rebecca said. Once Ahkmenrah knew he was alone he walked over to Violet and grabbed her hand. "Come on Vi, wake up we all miss you at the museum give me a sign that your alright please?" Tears fell out of Ahkmenrah's eyes. That was when he felt something squeeze his hand "Huh?" Ahk was confused

**Violet**

Everything hurt, people were talking and I didn't know who it was. Feeling something on my hand I squeezed it to let them know I was okay.

"Violet? Come on give me something so I know your okay." It was Ahkmenrah, he sounded like he was in pain. My eyes slowly opened. after my vision focused I turned my head to the left and set my eyes on Ahkmenrah.

"Hi" I whispered, wincing while trying to sit up.

"Oh Violet your alright! Don't move it's okay." Ahk sounded relieved. Me and Ahk talked for a bit a lot has happened since the last week.

"Ahk, sorry to cut our moment short but it's almost dawn, don't you think you should head back to the museum?" Oh my I sounded like such a bitch, why did I say that?

"Oh no! Thank you for reminding me!" Ahk kissed my hand and then got up, now I was wide awake.
"Can you get my dad for me?" I asked "Sure thing Vi."

My dad got a doctor to check on me. "Alright sweetheart you can go home in two days, but you have to rest." the doctor gave my dad all my medicines he brought them home. For two days all I did was rest and that was boring, really really boring. Walking was okay, it hurt a little so I just limped my way through it. I got out of the hospital at 4:30, so from there me and my dad headed to the museum.

"Oh Violet your back! See Lawrence, I knew she'd come through! "Thanks Teddy." I said. After saying hi to everyone I headed to Ahkmenrah's tomb. He looked upset.

"Hey"  I said

"Violet!" Ahk ran over to me and gave me a big tight hug, I winced. "Oh sorry." he blushed "It's okay." I said smiling.

"How are you feeling?" he asked with concern
"I'm good a little sore but I'll live." I laughed

"Ahk"
"Yes Vi"
"Thank you for coming to visit me at the hospital."
"Your welcome." Ahk said giving me that beautiful smile. It was a little awkward sitting here alone with him when I knew he was with Ashley so I got up and started walking.

"Where are you going?" Ahkmenrah asked.
" I'm going to go home so I can rest, bye Ahk."
"Oh alright, bye."

Finally the day had come for me to get everything removed. It felt nice not having to worry about my stitches anymore. I felt free and beautiful again.
